While I understand that messages like these are usually just more controversial and off putting than they are able to change hearts and minds, I still think it's good that at least someone is talking about the national torture, slaughter, and consumption of turkeys day.
That's a great ad. I can see why it wasn't run... it's a sad reminder that people don't want to think about the conditions that provide them with their food. It's too bad that there's not a willingness to listen. While commercials like this are off-putting, how can the message be communicated in a way that isn't? Most of us who eat meat can't handle the horrible methods employed to feed us... I suspect there's the usual sense of entitlement that also fuels the love of low-mileage vehicles, oversized homes, excessive wardrobes, etc.
